Third in the special series of 100% vinyl only DJ jams from across the music spectrum - soul, funk, jazz, rock, reggae, rhythm & blues, latin, hiphop, samba, soundtracks, ska....taking place at Leeds’ best small basement jazz bar, Sela.
First we had The Magnificent Sevens (5hrs of music only on 7"). Then came Under The Covers (5hrs of music but 100% cover versions). Now Sampler’s Delight, 5hrs of music made up of the original versions of all your favourite sampled songs of the last 25 years, be they house, hiphop, r&b, drum & bass or dancehall!

A live tribute to the Tower Of Power, one of the best US funk bands of the late 1960s & 1970s! Famed for their supertight rhythm section and brass, Tower Of Power gave us such club classics as “What Is Hip?”, “Soul Vaccination”, “Clean Slate”, “Squib Cakes” and the anthemic “Only So Much Oil In The Ground”!
Tenor sax player Stan Dziama fell in love with Tower Of Power on first hearing their “Urban Renewal” LP from 1974, and Soul Vaccination was born......10 of the North’s finest jazz/funk musicians paying homage to the amazing San Francisco Bay Area band! With an equally powerful 6 piece brass section led by Mr Dziama plus a blazing rhythm section, the line-up is capped off with Leeds man-mountain of soul, singer Benson J.Walker of Capri/Jacuzzi 500 fame!
